Imaginoor in September 2023 - Month of Many Moons

Hi there,

As we cling to the last few days of summer, I hope you had a wonderful summer with your friends and loved ones.

I'm happy to announce the first of my fall series gallery showings.  My work was selected as part of the Pairings show at Gallery Twist (Lexington MA) highlighting local artists' original artwork and diverse media.  The opening reception will be on Saturday, September 23rd, 5:00 - 7:00pm.  I will be there in person and would love to meet you.  Do stop by with your friends and family to view the work

In August, we got to see not 1 but 2 supermoons; the Sturgeon Moon and the Super Blue Moon.  The photo above is the Sturgeon moon rising over the Marblehead lighthouse in Marblehead, MA.  The moon streak technique is one I have been working for several years.  I calculated the path of the moon in relation to the height of the lighthouse and the position of the camera.  Add a dash of luck and BAM...moon streak behind the lighthouse.

Much to may 6yrs old disappointment, the Super Blue Moon was not blue. I explained to her that it is called a Super Blue Moon because of the celestial phenomenon that occurs when there are two full moons in a calendar month.  She kind of impressed but loved seeing the moon through her telescope to see Koila on the moon with his friends.  Miss you, Koila.

Here are your moments of zen...

The next Super Blue Moon will rise in 2037.
Keep having fun. Keep in touch. As always, love hearing from you all.

Peace,
Shehab
