Imaginoor in December 2025

Hi there,

And that’s a wrap, folks. As we turn the page to 2026, let’s not just celebrate the passing of time, but the arrival of new possibilities. I have learned over the last few years that resilience isn't just about 'getting through'—it’s about how we show up for one another when things get complicated.

Wishing you & your loved ones a safe & happy holiday season

May 2026 be a year where our laughter is louder than our worries, where our hands are quicker to help than to point, and where we find that the hope we’ve been looking for was something we were building together all along.

Looking back through a decade of photobooks today, and I’m feeling so overwhelmed with gratitude. This 10th-anniversary edition was truly a labor of love—one where I hoped the cover was just the beginning of the story. To everyone who brought a copy into their home: thank you.

Knowing that my work has found a place in your family’s holiday traditions is the greatest honor I could ask for. I’m already dreaming up what’s next for year eleven!

Hey! SHUTTER UP & SHOOT — Sculpting Portraits: A Lightpainting Photography Workshop

Stop just "taking" photos and start sculpting them. This hands-on workshop teaches you how to use handheld lights to define structure, add texture, and create dramatic, quality portraits without the need for expensive gear or hours of editing.

Ever wonder how photographers create those glowing, surreal streaks of light? That’s Light Painting—where your camera is the canvas and light is your brush.

Whether you’re waving a light source or moving the camera itself, you aren’t just taking a photo; you’re performing one. Turn your next shoot into a masterpiece of motion and color.

What You’ll Learn

  • Light Sculpting: Use LEDs and light wands to shape faces and forms with precision.

  • Gear Mastery: Learn to use portable, budget-friendly kits that work in the studio or on location.

  • Live Practice: Work with professionals and get real-time feedback from me.

Why It Matters

Light painting gives you a unique "visual signature" that stands out in a crowded market. You’ll leave with the confidence to create high-impact, three-dimensional images using minimal equipment and repeatable techniques.

The Details

  • Who: Photographers who know basic manual settings and want to get creative.

  • Environment: Small groups for plenty of shooting time and personal coaching.

  • What to Bring: Your camera, lenses, and a tripod. (I will provide the light painting tools!)

Spaces are limited to ensure quality instruction. Reserve Your Spot Now

Joshua Tree Workshop Canceled (NPS Rule Change)

Jeff McCrum Photography and I are incredibly disappointed to announce the cancellation of our Joshua Tree light painting workshop. Full refunds will be issued immediately.

Effective as of January 1st, 2026, The National Parks Service (NPS) has changed its 2026 rules to prohibit artificial lighting for all permitted photography workshops. Locations are also now restricted, making light painting virtually impossible.

Apologies to those who had planned on making this workshop a part of your 2026. It has been a very unexpected turn of events by National Parks and we hope the NPS reverses this decision.

We hope you will join us at other upcoming light painting workshops. Please check out https://www.imaginoor.com/workshop

We’ll be working in a controlled, indoor studio environment. You’ll learn the foundational skills and experiment with professional tools in total comfort—techniques you can eventually take outdoors when the weather warms up!

And now, for a moment of phosphor and shadow…

Stay tuned. Be sure to check out my ongoing sales at my print shop at prints.imaginoor.com. So much more coming soon!

Be well. Keep having fun. As always, love hearing from you all. “There is no better remedy for unachieved self improvement than achieved connection and re-connection.”

Peace,
Shehab
